To start your game in a specific region of the City players can utilize Spawn points. Unlock Spawn Point is the game's side quest that allows them to be unlocked. There are 7 points of spawn available to players to choose from.
When the side quest is finished, all points to spawn will be deactivated. It is required that players run a specific distance through the city to complete the quest. The spawning location can be done on the City map by selecting the desired area to spawn and then verifying it.
ATM is an NPC in the City, grants the Unlock Spawn Points sidequest. Participants must run 26.2 miles to finish it. The participant must complete the distance on walking. This does not include the use of BMX skateboard, skateboard, or rollerblades. Also, the player must be running, not walking. The progress indicator will be displayed in the left-hand sidebar of the screen while the game is tracking the quest. This allows players to know how far they've accomplished in running.
The distance covered is calculated over time, which means it's not required to be completed in one session. It is important to note that running while in a place will not count, therefore continuous running will not work if there's an obstacle in the way. When players have completed 26.2 miles and have completed the mission, all of the spawn points will automatically become available. You can set a spawn location on the map at any one of seven locations.
Setting the spawning point will alter the location that the character starts at each time the players return to the City. This can be beneficial in the event that there is a specific part of the city that players have to return to. Players will earn 1,000 MVP points when they complete the Unlock Spawn Points quest. The points are used to unlock the penthouse by completing the MVP of City quest. NBA 2K22 has a wide range of opportunities and features within the City for young players.
