Coated Tissue Papers

Coated Tissue Papers are available in two grades, a waxed tissue paper or a polyethylene (PE) coated tissue paper.

The waxed tissue paper is a lightweight paper ideal for handling pâtisserie and bakery items such as pastries, cake slices and doughnuts. This particular grade of waxed tissue paper does not have any moisture barrier properties therefore would not be suitable for wrapping fresh meat, fish and other foods with a high moisture content. It does have some grease barrier properties so would be good for wrapping low grease products. Our ‘Grab Sheets’ product is an excellent example of using waxed tissue paper. This product is available plain or printed. SHORT VIDEO REQUIRED using a Grab Sheet box
The polyethylene or PE coated tissue paper is a lightweight paper with good grease barrier properties. It is ideal for wrapping greasy or oily foods. A good example of this paper in use is burger wrapping paper within the fast food industry. This product would not be suitable for use in a butchers or fishmongers due to the weight and strength of the paper. This product is available plain or printed.
